Dimples Otter

That's right, Dimples Otter. Those were the two random words my wife gave me for a sketch. This is what my imagination produced.

Buttons born from boredom

What happens when you're at work and your computer is with IT... you grab squiggles and lines you've been randomly drawing on the corner of your notepad and let it inspire a new sketch.

A few small lines gave me the idea for the shape of this characters head and then from there I used my spare 2-3 hours to create BUTTONS. Very happy with the character. Might have to put this on the computer and color it digitally. What do you think?

I MET STAN LEE!

Last month I had the opportunity to meet Stan Lee in Melbourne and to say I was excited was a gross understatement.

I spent the week before trying to figure out what I would get him to sign and felt I didn't have enough time to draw something spectacular so I took a comic book with me instead. On the plane trip down to Melbourne I changed my mind again and decided to create a cartoon of me meeting Stan so my memento would be a little more personal. I quickly grabbed my drawing pad and sketched this. I was so happy that he took the time to have a quick look at my drawing and I also got a photo of us both holding the picture.

He is an amazing man that gave a lot of time to the fans and I am glad to have met him and walked away with a pretty cool souvenir.

Excited about Monsters University

Before this week I was not aware of the cartoon Monster High. I found a Twitter post online that asked for fan art inspired by Monster High. I instantly thought it was referring to Monsters University.
